Debbie Liao

Debbie is a partner on Battery’s IR team. She works day-to-day with the firm’s long-term investors while establishing and building lasting relationships with sophisticated new investors around the world.

Debbie has nearly 10 years of experience in the private equity world. She was most recently based in Hong Kong as a managing director with TransPacific, a boutique placement agency with an emphasis on Asia. She has worked with a number of top-tier GPs across venture, growth and buyout strategies.

Before that, Debbie worked in brand marketing and real estate, including stints at companies in the U.S., Hong Kong and Taiwan. She held marketing and strategy roles at companies including Burt’s Bees, Clorox and Pepperidge Farm. Debbie started her career at Mercer Management Consulting.

Debbie graduated from Stanford with a BA in economics and also holds an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a member of the Aspen Institute’s Aspen Global Leadership Network and a China Fellow.
