Payal Modi

Payal Modi is an associate who focuses on early-stage and growth-equity investments in areas including cloud infrastructure, big data, security and next-generation enterprise applications. She joined Battery full-time after participating in the firm’s 2022 summer internship program.

Prior to Battery, Payal worked as software engineer at Pinterest in San Francisco for 4 years. At Pinterest, she drove the development of new advertiser products and led initiatives to streamline developer operations. Payal has also spent time investing at the MBA Fund, an early-stage VC fund focused on founders from UPenn.

Payal earned her MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and holds her BS in computer science and economics from Yale.
