Sudheendra Chilappagari

Sudhee, a vice president in Battery’s San Francisco office, is an ex-entrepreneur and operator who is excited by founders building SaaS, API and infrastructure companies at all stages of development. Sudhee is involved with Battery’s investments in Coefficient, Neuron7 and Postman.

Prior to Battery, Sudhee held product and marketing leadership roles at Segment, the customer data platform company, now part of Twilio (NYSE: TWLO). As a product evangelist at Segment, Sudhee led the company’s marketing efforts to educate developers and data-driven practitioners about Segment’s overall value and specific products. Prior to that, he was the founding product manager on the Segment’s platform team and helped launch two new products from scratch: Developer Center and Functions.

Before Segment, Sudhee co-founded and served as head of product for Belong, a SaaS-based, AI-powered hiring platform based in Bangalore, India. The company’s products helped customers find the most relevant job candidates for roles and helped deliver positive experiences for candidates. Belong raised $15 million in venture funding and fulfilled more than 1,000 high-impact jobs. While working at the company, Sudhee was named to the Forbes Asia “30 Under 30” list in the enterprise-technology category.

Sudhee graduated from the Birla Institute of Technology and Science in Pilani, India with an undergraduate degree in Information Systems.
