Viraj joined Battery in 2016 as an analyst, before returning to the firm in 2025 as a vice president out of our San Francisco office where he focuses on late-stage investments in enterprise-software companies. He has been involved with Battery’s investments in 1WorldSync, Clubessential Holdings, Lightbox, Olo (NYSE: OLO), Smartling and Tech Soft 3D.

Before returning to Battery, Viraj was an investment professional at Tomales Bay Capital where he led TBC’s origination function, underwriting process and deal execution workstreams for new investments, while supporting portfolio management of companies such as Hive AI, Extend, Parafin and SpaceX.

Viraj holds an AB in mathematics from Princeton University.
